One Christian's Response to SCOTUS Overturning Roe v. Wade
Isaiah 10:1-2
"Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees,
and the writers who keep writing oppression,
to turn aside the needy from justice
and to rob the poor of my people of their right,
that widows may be their spoil,
and that they may make the fatherless their prey!"
For decades, we have believed wrongly that the Supreme Court is to be obeyed, rather than God. The Supreme Court is not God.
Further, when any governing body should "make the fatherless their prey," Christians have an obligation to disobey man, and obey God.
It is sinful to ignore child-sacrifice, and to obey man. Submission to tyranny is rebellion against God.
Roe v. Wade was only a court opinion, never a law. Even if the court could write laws, we do not obey man. We obey God. Even if congress wrote a law to allow child-sacrifice, it would be an unjust law.
The Pro-Life Industry, far too many pastors, and even more Christians have believed that Roe needed to be overturned, before they could obey God.
Now, with Roe's dismissal, all of the sinful leaders of the Pro-Life Industry have to acknowledge what abolitionists have been saying for years: they do not really want to end abortion.
Many within the pro-life movement do not want abortion to be abolished. They want it regulated, and gradually done away with.
We should gradually repent, and gradually trust in Jesus.
NO! We must immediately abolish child-sacrifice.
The Pro-Life industry does not want to punish the mother or father who kills their child. They see the woman as a victim.
They deny justice to the chid in the womb, murdered for the sins of the father.
They make the fatherless their prey, writing exceptions for rape.
The Pro-Life Industry is the number one enemy of the Church in this fight, and they are one of two reasons that it's still possible to sacrifice children in this land.
The second reason, and the most horrifying, is the apathy and sin of millions of Christians, who neglect justice.
They do not visit orphans or widows in their distress (James 1:27).
They do not rescue those being led away to death, nor do they rescue those stumbling to the slaughter (Proverbs 24:11-12).
They do not learn to do right, seek justice, or defend the oppressed. They do not take up the cause of the fatherless, or plead the case of the widow (Isaiah 1:17).
They do not love their neighbor as themselves (Mark 12:31).
They do not lay down their life for their friends (John 15:13).
They close their eyes when a man sacrifices his children, and they fail to put him to death (Leviticus 20:1-5).
When the Church wakes up and repents of their sin, abortion will be abolished in this land.
The Gospel of the Kingdom will transform the world. Let God be true, and every man a liar.
As it is written, in Psalm 22:
All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
for dominion belongs to the Lord
and he rules over the nations.
